Expanded post templatesFor example if I have a forum about breaking world news and I wanted some custom fields. one new field for a summary of the news and one new field for a link to the news source. this would be very cool

aww shucks still its cool you can have extra fields for them. Maybe in future version you can have custom fields per type and category? |

 .For new functionality to be developed either we need:
Sponsorship refers to the latter. Essentially we work out how many hours we think it will take, then if anyone people want to fund that at the hourly rate (currently 33 GBP per hour) we'll do it .Version 8 has mostly been developed through a combination of off-shoots from commercial projects we've done for our clients, and from things specifically sponsored by users (actually custom fields for content types was one of those). If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource. |
