Installation service

If you would like us to install ocPortal for you, send us the necessary details and, depending on staff availability, we may be able to install ocPortal for you. Details required are:

The location where your website should be at (i.e. your base-URL)
All FTP information
- Your FTP hostname (DNS address)
- Your FTP username
- Your FTP password
All SQL information
- Your SQL database name
- Your SQL username
- Your SQL password
Your desired admin password
Whether you want to be signed up to our newsletter, and whether you mind being a featured site or not
The URL to your installed forum, if you require forum integration

If you do not know FTP and SQL details, or have not configured these services, you may send us master details for your web-hosting instead (typically a username, a password, and a URL to log in to your hosting control panel): we can then configure the services as needed. We will do this at no extra cost; if you need us to perform further services, such as securing domain names, giving personalised advice on web hosting, or customising an installed site, please contact us.

Your passwords will be treated with confidence, but you must read and agree to the terms layed out before you send them to us.

If we find that you could not install ocPortal yourself, due to a bug, we will not charge you for the installation service; however you must assume that you will be paying when asking for installation to be carried out.
If your web hosting does not meet the minimum requirements for ocPortal, you will still be charged for installation, although it is likely we will suggest a web host that does meet the requirements and install it on there for no additional fee.
