We have this line of code limiting when we send out accurate HTTP status codes:

if ((!headers_sent()) && (function_exists('browser_matches')) && (!browser_matches('ie')) && (strpos(cms_srv('SERVER_SOFTWARE'), 'IIS') === false)) {

The reason is that...

1) IE has traditionally replaced our HTTP output with inbuilt e…

calendar: Change text for option "Edit while fixing past recurrences"

I personally feel that the option "Edit while fixing past recurrences" when editing a calendar event should be re-worded as it is misleading.

The text above to me makes me feel like this is the option I should select to edit the current event AND all recurrences of this event from the past. In reality, the "e…

Add the ability to see number of tasks currently in the task queue, perhaps within the one-off tasks section inside the same space as the CRON and email queue statistics when clicking "show all".

Currently if you access a misnamed page it will suggest the correct name. Have something similar if the module exists, but in a different zone.

A user requested the remember me checkbox to remember if it is unchecked, which would need a 'cookie'. Due to EU privacy legislation that's tricky, but we can make it optional as an addition possibility in the remember_me_by_default option (and the site-wide cookie opt-in feature can be used to give legal covera…

I think the random hex guest ids generated for guests should be made clear in the chat room, especially knowing what your own guest ID is. This would help when guests are trying to refer to other guests in the chat.

Say I'm guest 00000 and there's a guest 00001 that wants to refer to me without confusing the…

This is more of a future note, I don't think we should do it yet.

But at some point we will remove:
1) flash banners
2) the Comcode flash tag
3) the flash media renderer
And generally make sure Flash is erased from any references anywhere.

I think we should only do it when the last major browser has…

core_database_drivers: Deprecate MyISAM; use INNODB

Currently, Composr uses the MyISAM database engine for MySQL installations. MyISAM is no longer maintained and probably should not be used.

Instead, Composr should use the INNODB engine as it has active development and has some performance improvements over MyISAM (for large sites).

search: Automatic quote adding option for search block

Have a search block parameter that will automatically add quotes around search terms if not included.

This is useful if a particular search context always needs to respect word order, but the users can't be expected to know to add the quotes.
